“Contact us for pricing” is the most expensive sentence on many websites. It tells serious buyers you might be out of their range and tells everyone else to come back later. Most don’t.
A number is a filter
When we added starting prices to our own site, enquiries dropped slightly and the share of good-fit projects rose sharply. Fewer calls, better calls.
What a good pricing page shows
- A starting price or range for each package.
- What is included, in plain words.
- What changes the price, so nobody feels tricked later.
- A typical timeline next to the cost.
People don’t mind paying. They mind not knowing.
But every project is different
It is. Show the range anyway, and explain what moves a project within it. Buyers understand nuance; they just want somewhere to start.
